The Godfather of the center district of each city may now choose to step into the role of Godfather - Chairman of that city. This roll confers a few benefits:

• The rank of "GF - Chairman"
• A boost to the Chairman's marksmanship and defense based on the loyalty of the other crew leaders in their city.
  • This boost also affects his Right and Left hand men to a lesser amount.
  • This boost only works against people in or from the Chairman's city.
• The Chairman will receive half of the taxes paid to the Mayor.

Once a Godfather chooses to take the role of chairman, their new title is automatically set and all other crew leaders in their city will receive a personal letting them know of this. The other benefits (boosts and taxes) will take 7 days from the time Chairman is taken to become active. A Chairman may step down at any time and all benefits are lost immediately, they may retake the role at any time but will have to wait the 7 days again.

All crew leaders may choose to set their loyalty to the Chairman in their crew settings (Loyal\Undecided\Disloyal) and this will affect the Chairmans boosts to marksmanship and defense but not to taxes. This setting is only viewable and settable by the crew leader themselves.

As part of this, we have implemented the ability for a Godfather or a Don that is eligible to take Godfather to move to the center district of their city for free (no cost an2d DFPs remain intact) as long as the center district has no living crew leaders. If a Godfather takes the free move to the center district, any other two crews from that city may also move with that Godfather for free. If a Don takes the move, no other crews may follow for free, also the Don is not required to take the Godfather promotion after they move but may if they see fit.
