Rogue-A-Thon
A Rogue-a-Thon, also known as a RAT event, is a randomly triggered event in #Main via lounge where 60 rounds of Rogue(ette)s are lined up ready to be murdered by you. This event relies on communication and teamwork within Lounge, to ensure there are enough people at any given time to have at least 2 people shooting the same target.
Eligibility
To participate in RAT Events you need to meet all the RAT Eligibility requirements which you can check at https://mafiareturns.com/war/rat_eligible.php.
The main requirements are:
- Active In Game.
- Active On Lounge.
- RAT Pool Enabled In Options.
To be Active In Game you need to be online and active.
To be Active On Lounge, you need to navigate to Chat > Lounge Chat (Rewards). This will open up a new IRC Chat Room window where you can chat with other users. From here, open up a DM with MRBot and await a message.
How RAT's Work
The Spawning
When the event is spawned #Main will have a MRBOT Alert below:

The Notification
Users who are active on-site & on Lounge will then get notifications via MRBot that they have been added to a "Pool" and can race for the kill. The maximum number of users per pool is 12, and the minimum is 2.

The Killing
Once the target is dead, the standard message will appear from MRBot, making it easy to see that people are participating and keeping the RAT alive.
07:31 <&MRBot> ROGUETTE: With a final bullet, Roguette's pitiful attempt has been thwarted. The shooter beat 3 to the hit. 80 shots were fired.
07:32 <&MRBot> ROGUE: Rogue's pitiful attempt has been thwarted. The shooter beat 4 to the hit. 131 shots were fired.
The Shame
Now the link does expire quickly, as this is meant to be fast and furious murdering, no lollygagging about waiting for the right moment. If your link expires, or you click an old one the bot will publicly shame you, and you run the risk of being excluded from pools for a period of time. This is like the Script Checker Buttons when Jail Events are thrown.
07:32 <&MRBot> ROGUE-A-THON: Apparition is not in the hitpool. Further attempts are ignored until MrBot messages you on Lounge to tell you that you are in the pool for that particular Rogue/ette. Seeing this message multiple times will reduce your chances of being in the next few pools.
The Rewards
Occasionally, when a lot of users are active in lounge and participating in RAT, if there are 5+ shooters on a target, a hustle point is awarded randomly to a family member of the person who got the kill shot.
07:34 <&MRBot> Since there was a lot of competition, an additional hustle point has been awarded to a random member of the killer's crew. 07:34 <&MRBot> ROGUE: Rogue's pitiful attempt has been thwarted. The shooter beat 5 to the hit. 297 shots were fired.
If you are the lucky winner of the hustle point, the following message will appear in your events:
Apr 20, 06:34:38 You have received a hustle point for your crew's progress in the current RAT event happening on Lounge
The End
Sadly, not all good things last, and sometimes there just aren't enough people to keep the RAT going. If only one person shoots at the target for that pool, the RAT will end with the following message in Lounge:

FAQs & Tips
- Each 60 Round Rat that is completed in full gives the chance of a maximum of 17 basic kills
- The new Pied Piper Perk has a 5% chance of reducing cooldowns after a kill on RAT or being added to Pools
- The more people active in Lounge, the better. When a RAT is spawned mail, Whatsapp, smoke message your families and cities to let them know there is murdering to be done
- You can set alerts in Lounge to beep when a RAT is started. RAT might not be the best choice, but "queuing" is a good word to use
- If you use Lounge on your Android phone you can set it to the homepage and then it will alert you on your phone as well
- If you are in the pool and you are the only one shooting, it is customary to name and shame those in the pool who ruined the fun for everyone
- Squishy is exploring additional parameters for what "Triggers" you being added to a RAT pool outside of being active in lounge & game, so these may change in the future
- The Lounge Channels that qualify you for RAT are: #Main, #City, #Family, #Trivia
- If Jen calls dibs on any RAT target you must politely shoot a few times, but then stop giving her the kill.
